MacDowell Pottery

Through strategic re-branding, MacDowell Pottery not only revitalizes its small business but also forges a compelling and lasting connection with customers, driving growth
and success.

As time goes on, many brands update their branding to better market themselves to consumers. This updated look cohesively transfers through logos, products, and media outlets.

MacDowell Pottery is a local Rhode Island based small business that creates custom hand-crafted pottery products. The ultimate goal for this rebrand was to establish a new logo, business card, pottery slip inserts, product photography of various ready made products, and social media layouts that tell the story of true craftsmanship with a strong connection to local nature.

Meeting with the client weekly ensured clear communication of goals and allowed for regular updates on the projects progress.

Keeping the same font as the original logo, the redesign of the logo took a more direct naming approach. These pottery inserts were made to be used on small slips of paper that would be placed into the piece that correlates with it’s description.

Developing a social media layout for Instagram and Facebook was necessary in order to reach clientele.

Along with product shots, correlating posts of local nature scenes and craftsmanship images are used to emphasize the overall aesthetic of the brand. With Instagram particularly, a row layout of a pottery piece, followed by an influencing image, and finished by another pottery piece photo, would be a continuous scrolling theme through out the page’s entirety.
